Hey there, Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies!
As a group we have decided to chose Afghanistan as the country we will study. I have all the questions from the group, which I posted below.
Group, can you please research and find answers to your questions for 11:59 pm on Thursday? This is what you will be working on during class on Wednesday. If you are done before the end of the class you can either find new questions to answer OR find more thorough answers to your first two questions.
This presentation will be in the form of a PowerPoint. Individually, please make sure you keep your individual log of what you accomplish each day, or you will not be credited for it.
Also, the questions you all asked were amazing, but I also think for the presentation we should have some generic information such as: about the communist ideals in Afghanistan, dates of important events, Afghanistan's relationships with other countries, when and why this is all happening. These are some of the questions you can add once finished researching your own questions. And each person could maybe come up with two or three generic questions. Such questions will provide greater insight for the audience.
Please email us the information you find as we need to collaborate it onto the blog.
Also, when you reply to an email it would be greatly appreciated if you would REPLY ALL because if you don't it will only reply to the person who wrote most recently, and everyone in the group needs to see the emails so that they do not ask the same questions.

1. Are the Christians publicly persecuted, or persecuted in private?
2. How are Christians persecuted? Are they actually killed or do they just lose freedoms?
Emma:
1. Will those who are accused go on trial? OR will they just be punished?
2. Do soldiers break into anyone's house and accuse them of being a Christian, or does there have to be legitimate evidence/can anyone accuse someone of being a Christian?
Noah:
1. Does the Afghanistan government want the Christians (as well as other religions) to become atheists and respect the government, or do they just hate Christianity in particular?
2. Does the Afghanistan government really want to eliminate churches and Christian life, or do they just want it to be private and contained?
Anna:
1. Are pastors who actively witness only persecuted or is it anyone who professes Christianity?
2. What religion is wanted instead of Christianity?
Jed:
1. What is the governments motive behind persecuting Christians?
2. What have the Christians in Afghanistan done to anger the government? Or do the Afghanistan government just want one, or no religion at all?
